For this project, we were tasked with creating a brand identity for a random company. Our professor had us pick words from a random word generator to come up with the company name. I had a wild card for my first word which means I could choose whatever word I wanted. My second word that generated was "lab". I knew I wanted my brand to be some sort of winery or cocktail bar, so I came up with UnWined Lab. Typically when you go to a bar or have a glass of wine, you may want to unwind. I added the "e" to the word to play on the wine aspect. I created the logo using Illustrator.

The vision behind UnWined Lab's logo came from the idea of medicine. The overall atmosphere of the cocktail bar is turn-of-the-century apothecary style. The logo for the World Health Organization is is a staff with a snake wrapped around it, which originated from the ancient Greek god of healing, Asclepius who used snakes. Since this is a cocktail and wine bar, the logo needed a snake somewhere within the design. What better way to utilize the symbol than around a cocktail glass.
The typography came from the idea of a 1920s art deco and elegant inspired look. The vision behind UnWined Lab's color set was inspired by the dark and moody atmosphere of the bar.
The Details
UnWined Lab is a brand-new cocktail and wine lounge that pushes the boundaries of traditional and contemporary bar styles. Patrons will feel a plunge into the past as soon as they step foot into the establishment with a 1920s prohibition theme. The apothecary-inspired cocktail bar was designed around a turn-of-the-century atmosphere with heavy interiors and deep color.
